On May 29, the General Office of the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a notice on Cleaning up and Rectifying The Counterfeiting of Well-known Hospitals and other Institutions, strictly investigating the disorder of hospitals. The notice was issued to the market supervision bureaus (departments and commissions) of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, covering all medical institutions. The circular will resolutely investigate and punish illegal pricing practices of for-profit medical institutions. We will strengthen supervision and inspection of fees charged by for-profit medical institutions, focusing on price violations such as price failure and price fraud of medical services, medicines and medical materials in accordance with regulations.
